2) Donations via Zeffy
Online donations made through the Site are processed by Zeffy on our behalf. When donating, you also agree to Zeffy’s applicable terms and privacy policy. No platform fees are charged to you or to REACH; you may optionally add a tip to support Zeffy.
By submitting a donation, you authorize the payment in the amount indicated. For recurring donations, you authorize Zeffy to charge the selected payment method at the chosen interval until you cancel (see Section 3).
3) Receipts, recurring gifts & accounts
- Receipts: Official CRA-compliant receipts are issued by email via Zeffy on REACH’s behalf. If you do not receive a receipt, check your spam/junk folder or contact us.
- Recurring gifts: You can manage or cancel recurring donations via your Zeffy donor account or by contacting us for help.
- Accounts: Zeffy may prompt you to activate a donor account to view history and manage preferences.
4) Refunds, chargebacks & disputes
We review refund requests in good faith and in accordance with CRA guidance for charitable donations. Charitable donations are generally non-refundable. We will consider refunds or corrections for duplicates, unauthorized charges, or payment input/processing errors. If a tax receipt was issued, the original receipt will be cancelled and replaced per CRA rules.
If you believe a donation was made in error or fraudulently, please contact us promptly at contact@reachingcanada.com with your name, email, date, and amount.
- Chargebacks: If you initiate a chargeback, we may share relevant transaction data with the payment processor to resolve the dispute.
- Processing timeline: Approved refunds will be processed back to the original payment method where possible.
5) Other ways to give
- E-transfer: Send to contact@reachingcanada.com and include your full name, email, mailing address, and optional designation (e.g., “Students”, “Teachers”, or “Where Needed Most”).
